(t/e) Light Quark Spectroscopy
نویسنده
چکیده
The pattern of well-known states in q 4 spectroscopy is quite different from CE and b 6. Because of the position of the heavy quark thresholds, the JP = lradial excitation ladder is well studied by formation in e+eexperiments and the L = 1 triplets are seen in 7 transitions. In the q p sector, however, the “leading” high-spin multiplets are best known (in both natural and unnatural f) and, since most states have quite large widths, study of underlying radial excitations and Lexcitation triplets is extremely difficult. It is important to remember both this contrasting pattern and that the basic structure is the same.

Some Developments in Light Quark Spectroscopy
Among the many unresolved questions in light quark spectroscopy, the underlying structure of the scalar mesons and the identification of states with a gluonic content rank high. Recently, new information has come from φ radiative decays, J/ψ, τ , D and Ds meson decays. Other papers in this conference review radiative transitions of φ and J/ψ. This paper discusses new information on the scalar s...

متن کاملLight Meson Spectroscopy
We survey the current status of light meson spectroscopy. We begin with a general introduction to meson spectroscopy and and its importance in understanding the physical states of Quantum Chromo Dynamics (QCD). Phemenological models of hadron spectroscopy are described with particular emphasis on the constituent quark model and the qualitative features it predicts for the meson spectrum. We nex...
متن کاملStatus of Hadron Spectroscopy at LEAR
Recent observations by the Crystal Barrel experiment of two scalar resonances, f 0 (1370) and a 0 (1450) have allowed us to clarify the members of the scalar nonet. In addition, a third scalar, f 0 (1500), appears to be supernumerary, and is a candidate for the scalar glueball expected near 1550 MeV. Light quark meson spectroscopy studies the mesons which are made up of u, d, and s quarks. With...
متن کامل2 + 1 flavor light hadron spectrum and quark masses with the O ( a ) improved Wilson - clover quark
We present a summary of results of the joint CP-PACS and JLQCD project toward a 2+1 flavor full QCD simulation with the O(a)-improved Wilson quark formalism and the Iwasaki gauge action. Configurations were generated during 2002–2005 at three lattice spacings, a ∼ 0.076, 0.100 and 0.122 fm, keeping the physical volume constant at (2.0 fm) 3. Up and down quark masses are taken in the range m PS ...
